My name is Monique Bavaud and I am a fine artist.

I am an artist whose work explores the human condition  in each of us and the inner workings that makes our human spirit sacred .I am a true expressionist I study people their faces and their true essence. I sometimes feel I am breathing the air into my images and bring them to life .My main objective is to give them a subtle voice and the ability to communicate with the observer.

I have painted extensively throughout the United States and have painted well over 1000 pieces over my lifetime .

Ms Bavaud’s artistic roots were never in question. Her mother always knew she would be involved in the arts, as her early paintings and drawings were always being praised by teachers at an early age and selling her artwork to other students for lunch money.” I clearly remember at three years old waiting at the table for my sister to come home from school everyday to draw with me” art was always the one thing that I made part of my life naturally  just as one would make sure they would eat. Her mother Lucia studied at culinary school in London England and mastered at her craft her father Marcel was also very artistic and his father as well in music ,gymnastics and carving. My father Marcel was b0rn in Switzerland and Mother Lucia was born in Italy,I myself was born in London,England and raised in the United States.

When I moved to the Panhandle I was inspired to create “A tin series of outsider art” Beloved by many collectors in the Old South Coast, where I currently reside.
